Yanelba was invited to participate in “HerStory 2025“, a special oratory play honoring Women’s History Month, presented by Jersey City Council President Joyce E. Watterman, Art House Productions and RWJ Barnabas Health. Directed by Meredith Burns, the play tells powerful and personal stories of 8 local women highlighting their strength and resilience. The event was held on March 29th, 2025 in Jersey City, New Jersey. The play was followed by a panel discussion with Dr. Rebecca C. Yang from the JCMC. The event was featured on Broadway World and New Jersey Stage.
Yanelba performed “First Generation” written by Kayla Khaled, the first Latina elected to serve as an NEA Board Director.
