Yanelba booked a role on Parkside East, a thesis short film written and directed by Taylor Sanghyun Lee, produced by Jack Auen and Dzan Harba, and executive produced by Spike Lee.

Niña Linda (2024) directed by Ashley Morales will be screened at the Basie Center Cinemas in Red Bank, NJ on Sunday, July 13th as part of their Breakthrough Filmmaker Fest’s Close Up Series.

Last week, Yanelba spent three days in Manhattan, serving as an actor in a closed reading of the play MY MOTHER THE SUN written by Parity Development Award Winner Paloma Monfiletto. It was Yanelba’s first time participating in such capacity and she really enjoyed working with everyone involved.

Yanelba was invited to participate in HerStory 2025, an oratory play celebrating Women’s History Month. The event is being presented by Council President Joyce E. Watterman and Art House Productions. The event is being held on the evening of March 29, 2025 in Jersey City, New Jersey. The event is featured on Broadway World and New Jersey Stage. Yanelba will be reading “First Generation” written by Kayla Khaled, the first Latina elected to serve as an NEA Board Director.

Niña Linda (2024) directed by Ashley Morales has been accepted into Count Basie Center’s Breakthrough Filmmaker Festival being held on March 22nd, 2025. Niña Linda (2024) directed by Ashley Morales where Yanelba plays the mom of the lead character is a finalist in the East Village New York Film Festival. The film will be screened Sunday, February 23rd, 2025. If you’d like to attend the screening, tickets are $10 and are available for purchase at this link.
Yanelba just booked a role in the coming-of-age short film Luminiscencia, directed by Marial Moreno. Yanelba will be playing the lead character’s mom who also happens to be Dominican 🇩🇴.

Yanelba took part in an episode of “Actors on Actors” with Aileen Pujols, writer, producer, and lead of Niña Linda Film.
Aileen and Yanelba talked about their recent projects and what they learned about the characters they played, Yanelba shared differences between the acting industry now vs when she started, and she also shared advice for new actors which can actually be applied by others in different career paths.
